#736 Stamped Metal — the prompt, the model-neutral version and the tags are on its page.

Stamped Metal turns a picture into an object: a carved panel of matte grey stone and slate-blue enamel, with raised gold edges, fine etched constellation lines, and a border crowded with suns, moons and astronomical instruments. It first appeared back in May, on a picture of an angel, and it's one of the few styles here that changes what the picture is made of rather than how it's painted.

The blend

The prompt names no artists. It stacks three surface treatments:

The prompt sums it up as "a carved metal-and-stone panel", and every model took that literally.

On its own subject, Flux carved a woman's face into a zodiac medallion. Every render here instead adds "a woman walking away down a quiet, sunlit street, seen from behind" after the haiku, which keeps the street. The street ends up framed inside the panel.

The newer models kept trying to engrave the haiku onto a plaque, which is in keeping with the panel idea. These renders use the walking line on its own as the subject so the panels stay clean.

Using it

It suits subjects you'd want to commemorate: a portrait, a building, a single figure, an animal. Busy scenes get lost inside the frame. If a model starts inscribing your prompt into the metal, describe the scene plainly instead of using a poem.

There are no names to strip, so the same text works on every model. The style page also has an effect-only version.
